Museum of Scottish Country Life
 This Museum is a fantastic working farm and museum. Find out how people lived and worked in the past. Experience the sights sounds and smells of a 1950s working farm with, dairy cows and sheep. Take a ride in the tractor trailer up to the Georgian Farmhouse. There is also a large collection of tractors and combine harvesters, a picture gallery, a theatre, and education centre. Compare life in the past with the present, see how their hardship and superstition beliefs played a part in their lives.

How to Get There
By Bus Buses available from the City Centre and journey time approx 40 mins.
By Train From Glasgow Central Station to - Thorntonhall, Hairmyres or East Kilbride station. The Stations are approx 3 miles from the museum then travel by bus or taxi.
By Car - From Glasgow take the A749 to East Kilbride
From Edinburgh follow the M8 to Glasgow , turn off after Junction 6 on the A725.

Museum Shop
It sells a range of rural related items and educational books.

The Sheilings Café ( which is fully licensed) menu includes a wide range of home-baking sandwiches, and children's menu.
